Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Decision Review System (DRS) will not be used during the cricket powerhouse India’s Bangladesh tour schedule for June 7, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sources said.
According to the International Cricket Council regulations, the DRS system only be used when both the sides gave their nods for use of it.
As India did not gave clearance of the system, so there will be no DRS system available during the series, BCB sources added.
Earlier on Satruday, BCB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nizamuddin Chowdhury confirmed that the BCCI has protested the usage of DRS system in the ensuing series between Bangladesh and India.
However, DRS system was used during Bangladesh’s last two home series against Zimbabwe and Pakistan.
India, the two-time ICC World Cup champion team, will arrive in Dhaka on June 7 and during their 20-day stay, they will play one Test match and three ODIs.
The lone Test will be played from June 10 to 14 at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah of Narayanganj.
The three ODIs will be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on June 18, 21 and 24 respectively.
A reserve day has been marked for each one-dayer in case of rain.
The last time India visited Bangladesh was back in June last year.
