Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Nokia on Wednesday launched its first series of dual sim handset which comes built-in with the Nokia Browser in Bangladesh.
“The model Nokia C2-03 is the first handset from the company to feature a dual sim, in a touch and type based phone,” a company announcement said in Dhaka.
“The phone which is priced at BDT 7,900 is S40-based slider with advanced features, including: 2.6 inch QVGA resistive touch screen display, GSM / GPRS / EDGE connectivity, Nokia Maps for S40, Nokia Browser, 3.5mm headset jack, stereo FM radio, 2MP camera, 10 MB internal memory and MicroSD card which support up to 32GB,” it added.
The phone is targeted for people who desire cost saving features without compromising the technology, the Nokia said.
“With the option of two sim cards in one phone, people can alternate between sims to choose their convenience. With the Nokia browser built -in, browsing the internet has never been faster as it compresses all the data before it reaches to your phone for faster, richer and cost –efficient web browsing to reduce data cost upto 90 percent,” it added.
Speaking at the press conference Abu Daud Khan, Country Manager said: “Nokia is committed to connect the millions of people in Bangladesh with the wonderful world of internet. In the past few years Nokia has consistently worked to drive internet education and usage. Be it by ensuring affordable internet enabled device, or providing the first email account for the consumers, Nokia has always lead the way for a connected Bangladesh.”
