Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– At least 16 people were killed and more than 45 others wounded as a nor’wester lashed Netrakona, Sunamganj, Sylhet and Naogaon districts of Bangladeshon Sunday night.
Of them, nine people were killed in Netrakona district, four in Sunamganj, two in Naogaon and one in Sylhet, according to reports.
In Netrakona, at least nine people, including four members of a family, were killed and 25 others injured as a nor’wester lashed Kalmakanda, Mohanganj, Barhatta and Sadar upazilas of the district at night.
Four people, including two of a family, were killed and over 20 hurt as a nor’wester lashed Sullah, Derai, Jamalganj, Tahirpur and Dharampasha upazilas in Sunamganj district last night.
In Sylhet, an old woman was killed when a nor’wester lashed Kanaighat upazila of the district on Sunday night.
