Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The central bank of Bangladesh has announced the office hours of all scheduled banks during the ensuing holy month of Ramadan, a Bangladesh Bank (BB) statement said.
The scheduled banks will remain open from 9:30 am to 4.00 pm from Sunday to Thursday including the prayer break from 1.15 pm to 1.30 pm. The transaction hours will be from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm.
The central bank has already issued a circular in this connection and asked the chief executives of all banks to follow the changed office hours during Ramadan.
During the prayer break, transactions will be done through internal coordination as was done before Ramadan, the circular added.
