Olympic Industries to set up 2 new Biscuit lines

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The Olympic Industries has informed that the Board of Directors has decided to set up 2 new Biscuit Lines (Line-6 and Line-7) in its new Biscuit factory premises at Sonargaon, Narayanganj, said an office disclosure on Monday.

The most modern machineries and equipments for the said 2 new Lines will be imported from manufacturers in Italy and India along with import of Cream Making and Sandwiching machinery from Peters Sandwiching in USA.

The machineries for Line-6 will be installed in existing floor of the factory building covering 1,30,000 sft floor area and for installation of machineries for Line-7, additional 19,000 sft  covered area is being constructed on top of 2nd floor of the building.

The total cost of the Project for putting up new Line-6 and Line-7 is expected to be around Tk. 622.28 million out of which Tk. 350.00 million is proposed to be obtained as loan from Commercial Bank and balance Tk. 272.28 million will be arranged from own source of the Company.

The combined capacity of 2 Plants will be 30,000 tons per annum and the new Lines are expected to start commercial production from February or March 2014.

The installation of the proposed 2 new Lines will enable the company to produce newer types of quality biscuits including Cream Sandwich biscuit to better cater to the demand for its products in the market.
