Oman Thread Plant to invest over $ 7.0 million in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Oman will set up thread manufacturing industry in Comilla Export Processing Zone of Bangladesh.
This company to be known as M/s. Muscat Thread (BD) Limited in Bangladesh.
This fully foreign owned company will invest US$7.253 million for setting up their unit with annual production capacity of 2,340 tons of spun polyester thread and core spun thread.
Muscat Thread (BD) Limited will create employment opportunity for 143 Bangladeshi nationals.
An agreement to this effect has signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and M/s. Muscat Thread (BD) Limited in BEPZA Complex in the capital Dhaka on Tuesday.
Sayed Nurul Islam, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Mukhtar Mohamed Hasan, Director of M/s. Muscat Thread (BD) Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Md. Shawkat Nabi, Secretary, Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Public Relations), Md. Khorshid Alam, General Manager (Investment Promotion), Md. Nurul Haque, General Manager (Enterprise Service) from BEPZA and other officials of both side were present at the signing ceremony.
