ONE Bank signs participation deal with central bank

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- A participation agreement was signed between ONE Bank Limited and Bangladesh Bank for availing refinance facilities under rural-based Agri product processing industries.

ONE Bank Managing Director (Current Charge) Arif Quadri and Bangladesh Bank General Manager (SME and Special Program Department) Sukamal Sinha Choudhury signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations in Dhaka recently.

So far 14 banks and 15 non banking financial institutions have signed participation agreement with Bangladesh Bank under the scheme.

Bangladesh Bank has already disbursed BDT 1.0 billion under the refinance scheme for establishing rural-based Agriculture product processing industries. At the moment, the balance in the revolving fund is BDT 779.1 million.
