Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- ONE Bank Limited is going to launch e-banking soon, enabling the customers to get banking services more conveniently and helping to ensure financial inclusion across the country.
Farman R. Chowdhury, Managing Director of the bank, disclosed it at a press conference at the National Press Club in Dhaka on Wednesday.
“The bank will launch the world class Internet Banking Services known as ‘Flexcube Direct Banking’ by September this year,” he said.
Considering importance of internet banking in the growing banking sector, One Bank moved to introduce the services, the MD said. The bank is also set for introducing mobile banking for extending financial services to the country’s unbanked population, he added.
In order to provide full range of electronic banking products and services, One Bank has taken different initiatives to modernize ATM Card services.
The bank commenced its commercial banking operation on July 14, 1999 as a third generation bank. Currently, it has a network of 59 branches and 10 booths across the country.
One Bank is the first local bank that installed a fully-integrated Real Time On-Line Banking Services and setup Booths in ‘Chittagong Port’ and Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge for collection of toll.
