One more inter-city train connects Bangladesh capital with Sylhet

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Bangladesh Railway has launched one more intercity train service named 'Kalny Express' on Dhaka- Sylhet routes. 
Communications and Railways Minister Obaidul Quader inaugurated the train service by waiving a green flag at Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital Dhaka on Tuesday.
The new intercity service named after 'Kalny', a river of Sylhet region, began its journey from Dhaka to Sylhet at 3:00 pm with nearly 500 passengers onboard. 
Railway officials said the 534-seater Kalny Express with 12 passengers' compartments of four categories would ply in the route everyday except Friday.
"The train will leave Dhaka at 3:00 pm daily and will arrive in Sylhet at 9.15 pm while it will leave Sylhet at 6.40 am and will arrive in Dhaka at 1 pm," a railway official said, adding that the total number of intercity trains in Dhaka-Sylhet routes rose to four with the new one. The other three-train services are Parabat, Joyantika and Upoban Express.
