Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-More than one million people in 17 districts of Bangladesh have been affected by the recent floods, according to a report.
The Joint Needs Assessment reports that communities across nine of these districts identified the priority sectors as food, sanitation and livelihoods.
Reliefweb published the reports quoting Asia and the Pacific: Weekly Regional Humanitarian Snapshot from August 26 to September 1, 2014.
According to the report, humanitarian organisations are complementing relief efforts of the government.
Over 500 medical teams deployed by the directorate general of health services is working to tackle a variety of flood related health problems in the affected areas, it added.
