Over 100 RMG workers hurt in Bangladesh quake panic

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-More than 100 ready-made garments workers from different factories in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital Dhaka, were injured during quake evacuation on Sunday.
Moreover, several buildings tilted in Dainik Banglar intersection and Lalmatia in the capital and in Mymensingh district town, reports ATN Bangla, a private television channel of Bangladesh.
A fresh tremor jolted different parts of Bangladesh including the capital city Dhaka Sunday afternoon, one day after a 7.8 earthquake created havoc in Nepal killing nearly 2,000 people and sending shockwaves to neighbouring Bangladesh, India and China.
The earthquake was felt at 1:09:08pm Sunday.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 6.7 and which epicenter was 17km south of Kodari in Nepal, said US Geological Survey.
The injuries were reported while the workers were trying to rush out of their workplaces in Dhamrai and Ashulia of Savar during the earthquake, the television reports said.
Like Saturday, most of the garment factories in Savar have been declared closed for the day, media reports said.
