Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Visiting Pakistan are led by 435 runs with seven wickets remaining in hand against Bangladesh on the day three in the second Test against Pakistan in Mirpur on Friday.
The guests scored 81 runs losing three wickets in 22 overs at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Stadium in Mirpur of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq are at the crease.
Earlier in the beginning of the day three, Bangladesh are trailed by 357 runs in the first innings.
Bangladesh were all out for 203 runs.
Pakistan have not enforced the follow-on. The visitors will come out to bat.
In the beginning of day three, Wahab Riaz took the wickets of Soumya Sarkar for (3) and Shuvagata Hom (0) while Mohammad Hafeez picked the wicket of Taijul Islam (15).
The Tigers managed to score 160 runs after 41 overs. Bangladesh resumed batting with 107 for five on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday, Yasir Shah picked the wickets of Mushfiqur Rahim and Imrul Kayes. Wahab Riaz sent Mahmudullah back to the pavilion for 28 runs.
Junaid Khan took both the wickets of Tamim Iqbal, 4, and Mominul Haque, 13.
Pakistan declared their first innings at 557-8.
Azhar Ali hit 226 and Asad Shafiq made 107 during a fifth-wicket stand of 207. Younis Khan made 148 on the first day.
Earlier on day one, the 250 partnership of Azhar and Younis helped visiting Pakistan to score 323/3 at stumps.
Younis falls scoring 148 in the Pakistan scoreboard.
Earlier, Hafeez was removed for only eight while Sami Aslam for 19.
The five-day long second Test will continue till May 10.
Prior to beginning of the match, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to field first.
Earlier, the first Test in Khulna was drawn. And with high hope Bangladesh now eager to seal their maiden Test victory over their senior subcontinent rivals Pakistan in the second Test.
In the first Test, Mohammad Hafeez and Tamim Iqbal made their maiden double-centuries while Imrul Kayes recorded 51 and 150 in two digs and six other batsmen registered half-centuries in the drawn first.
