Pakistan opposes Bangladesh ban on waving flags in cricket matches

Islamabad, Pakistan (BBN)– There should be no ban on waving flags during sports events, a reference to a recent restriction imposed by Bangladeshi cricket board on local cricket fans, Information Minister of Pakistan Pervez Rashid said on Wednesday, the Geo News reported.
 

Bangladesh issued the order after an outcry over images of locals waving Pakistani flags during the recent Asia Cup. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) made the ruling on Tuesday, on the eve of the country's 44th Independence Day.
