Kathmandu, Nepal (BBN) – Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir arrived in the capital, Kathmandu on Saturday on a three-day official visit.

Foreign Secretary of Nepal Gyan Chandra Acharya received his Pakistani counterpart at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital.

Mr. Bashir is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala and other political leaders and bureaucrats during his stay.

The Pakistani foreign secretary’s visit is aimed at reviewing Pakistan-Nepal political and economic relations and exploring ways to strengthen bilateral ties, a Pakistan embassy press statement said in Kathmandu.

Br. Bashir’s came here on the heels of last week’s visit to Nepal by Indian Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon.
