Islamabad, Pakistan (BBN)- President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani have strongly condemned the bomb blast in a hotel in Peshawar.

The attack was occurred at the five-star Pearl Continental hotel in the high-security Khyber Road area of Peshawar, which killed at least 11 people.

The President and the Prime Minister in their separate messages deplored the loss of precious human lives and injuries caused by the blast.

President Zardari reiterated his government commitment in the fight against terrorism and said such incidents will not deter the government from its resolve to eliminate this scourge from the country.

The prime minister ordered the authorities to launch an immediate inquiry into the heinous act of terrorism, so that the culprits of this terrorist incident could be brought to justice.

The government will continue to fight terrorism and extremism, he said, adding that such cowardly acts will not weaken the government’s resolve to fight this menace.
