Passenger bus, car torched in Bangladesh capital

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- A passenger bus and a car were set fire in the capital amid the growing political tension ahead of the BNP-led 20-party’s January-5 rally on Sunday.
Miscreants set on fire a passenger bus in front of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon, police and witnesses said.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Paltan Model Police Station Morshed Alam confirmed the incident that has been occurred at about 2:00 pm.

He said a gang of miscreants torched the bus of "New Vision Paribahan" but no casualty was reported.

A spokesman of Fire Brigade and Civil Defense said two units of the fire fighters brought the blez under control after 15 minutes of the incident.
Besides, miscreants set fire to a car near Motijheel AGB Colony around 2:10 pm. Local people doused the flame after the incident.
However, there was no report of any causality or injury in the incidents.
