Petrol pump owners go on strike Feb 13

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Country's petrol pump owners has announced a fresh countrywide indefinite strike from February 13 this year  at all petrol pumps and fuel depots across Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Petrol Pump and Tank-lorry Owners-Employees Unity Council announced the program at a press conference at a city hotel on Monday.

The key demands include issuing arms licenses to pump owners, fixing commission at 7 per cent on the sales of petroleum products, setting up testing laboratories at fuel depots, raising fare of tank-lorries, launching a new insurance policy for accident victims and stopping police harassment during transportation of fuel.
