Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The 16th annual general meeting (AGM) of Pioneer Insurance Company Limited has approved 30 per cent stock dividend for the year that ended on December 31, ’11.
The AGM was held in the city Wednesday. Chairman of the company Tapan Chowdhury presided over the meeting, the company said.
The AGM was told that in the year 2011 the company earned premium income of BDT 1.60 billion and net profit of BDT 204.50 million registering a growth of 28 per cent and 57 per cent respectively.
In his address, the chairman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the shareholders for their continued support to the company. He also appreciated the management as well as the employees of the company for their outstanding performance and advised them to continue their efforts in future too.
Among others, directors M Anis Ud Dowla, AKM Rahmatullah, MP, Alamgir Shamsul Alamin, Shusmita Anis, Fahama Khan, Abdul-Muyeed Chowdhury, Sanchia Chowdhury and MA Majed and Managing Director QAFM Serajul Islam were present at the AGM.
