Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Some 70 Bangladeshi overseas jobseekers went to different countries including the Middle East, Republic of Korea and Singapore in the last three months with loans from Probashi Kalyan Bank (PKB).
The new bank has provided loans amounting to BDT 7.0 million at 9.0 percent interest rate, officials said, adding that some 22 new applicants are now waiting to get financial assistance from the bank.
The PKB provides collateral-free loan to the outbound Bangladeshi workers subject to showing of their appointment letters, they added.
The loan seekers must have a personal guarantor who may be his/her family member or a respectable person in their locality.
