PM to inaugurate 100 branches of Palli Sanchay Bank Wednesday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate 100 branches of Palli Sanchay Bank on Wednesday as part of the step towards establishing branch of this bank in each upazila.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the branches through video conference at Ghana Bhaban at 12:00 pm, a press statement on Tuesday.
She will also exchange views with different officials and members of the bank through video conference.
The government enacted the Palli Sanchay Bank Act, 2014, for setting up the bank for savings in the rural area.
The paid-up capital of the bank is BDT 2.0 billion, in which BDT 1.20 billion to be provided by the government.
