Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The supply of food to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office came to a halt since Wednesday night, as police allegedly barred a van carrying food from going inside the office.
Several senior BNP leaders and staff of Khaleda’s Gulshan office have been living on dry food, Shamsuddin Didar, a member of BNP chief's press wing, told the BBN.
Khaleda, also a former premier of the country, along with several party leaders and stuff has been staying inside her Gulshan office since January 3.
When contacted, Sub-inspector Asaduzzaman of Gulshan Police Station told the BBN over phone that they were not aware of such allegation.
“Around 8:00pm Wednesday police restricted a foods-laden van from coming inside the office,” Didar said.
Khaleda’s staff alleged that they were barred from bringing breakfast and lunch on Thursday and so that they had to eat dry foods including dates and puffed rice which is available in the office.
