Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner AKM Shahidul Huq has requested the city dwellers to take police escort while transferring big amount of cash money.
Money transaction and transfer will increase during the holy Ramadan and on the eve of Eid-ul-fitre, the DMP commissioner said in a press statement on Monday.
He said the DMP will provide police escort if any individual, bank or financial institution feels help of police escort to carry the big amount of money.
However, the police escort seekers will have to provide transport for this purpose.
The DMP Commissioner asked the assistance seekers to contact the nearest police station or police control room. Control room telephone numbers are 9665407, 8616553, 8614300 and 01713398311 and 999(DMP).
