Raebareli, India (BBN) – The toll in the massive explosion in a boiler at the state-run power giant NTPC’s Unchahar plant in Raebareli has risen to 26, a senior official said on Thursday.

Rae Bareli district magistrate Sanjay Kumar Khatri told IANS the number of injured in the Wednesday’s National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) plant blast was 64, reports Hindustan Times.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath, who is on a three-day visit to Mauritius, announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased, Rs 50,000 for the seriously injured and Rs 25,000 for those with minor injuries.
