Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The 26th annual general meeting (AGM) of Pragati Insurance Limited was held recently at Jamuna Resort Ltd, Bhuapur in Tangail.
Chairman of the Company Abdul Awal Mintoo presided over the meeting and members of the board of directors and a large number of shareholders attended the meeting.
The AGM approved 15 per cent cash and 10 per cent stock dividend for the year 2011, the company said.
During the year 2011 the company earned gross premium of BDT 11.3729 billion which was 7.06 percent higher than the previous year. Profit before tax was BDT 133.38 million. Net claim settled during the year was BDT 1.16033 billion against BDT 110.68 million in 2010.
