Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The prices of per kg ginger and four pieces eggs decreased slightly while the prices of per kg both local and imported onion increased in Dhaka on Saturday.
Prices of local and imported onion mounted due to unavailability of the essential and the prices of eggs and ginger decreased slightly for smooth supply of the essentials.
The prices of per kg ginger is at BDT 70-130 on Saturday where it was at BDT 80-140 on Thursday, according to the latest data provided by the state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB).
On the other hand, the prices of per kg local onion is at BDT 80-90 today while it was at BDT 75-85 on Thursday.
However, the prices of per kg imported onion is at BDT 65-75 today while it was at BDT 60-70 on Thursday.
Moreover, the prices of four pieces eggs is at BDT 26-30 today where as it was at BDT 28-30 on Thursday.
The prices of other essential items however remained almost unchanged at different kitchen markets in Dhaka on Saturday, the TCB data added.
