Rajshahi, Bangladesh (BBN)- The classes of Rajshahi University (RU) will resume Monday after an 18-day vacation of Eid-ul-Fitr, Shab-e-Qadr and Zumat-ul-Wida.
The classes of all the departments will resume on the day while students started returning to their respective dormitories. The vacation started on August 9. 
The authorities reopened sixteen residential halls of the university on Sunday.
RU Proctor Professor Chowdhury M Zakaria said that the authorities have strengthened security to avoid any untoward incident on the campus.
Meanwhile, additional Police and Detective Branch men have been deployed at different points of the university to avoid any untoward situation following killing of a Bangladesh Chhatra League activist Abdullah Al Hossain Sohel on July 16 this year.
