Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) made allotment of 1,175 residential plots in three categories during the second phase lottery of the Purbachal New Town Project on Saturday.
The winners were picked through computerized draw from 45,874 applicants in businessmen-industrialists, private service holders' and lawyers categories at a ceremony at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka.
In the businessmen-industrialists category 474 plots were allotted. Of them, 178 applicants got a 3.5 katha plot each, 213 got a 5.0 katha plot each, 57 applicants got a 7.5 katha plot each and 26 applicants won a 10.0 katha plot each.
In private service holders' category, 591 applicants got plots. Of them, 220 were awarded a 3.5 katha plot each, 267 applicants got a 5.0 katha plot each, 72 won a 7.5 katha plot each and 32 got a 10.0 katha plot each.
One hundred ten applicants were awarded plots in lawyers’ category. Of them, 40 got plot in 3.5 katha sub-category, 50 in 5.0 katha sub-category, 14 in 7.5 katha sub-category and six in 10.0 katha sub-category.
On September 17, the RAJUK announced the names of 1,077 plot winners in four categories for the projects.
The application form for withdrawal of deposited money is available free at selected branches of Sonali, Agrani and Janata Bank Limited, Citibank NA and Standard Chartered Bank in the capital.
The unsuccessful non-resident Bangladeshi applicants will be able to collect and submit deposit collection form through mail, the RAJUK said.
