Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Rajuk Uttara Model College achieved top position scoring 97.34 points among 20 top colleges in Dhaka Board in Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations this year.
Abdul Kader Mollah City College, Narsingdi, got second position in Dhaka Board with a score of 93.04 points followed by Mymensingh Girls’ Cadet College (91), Viqarunnisa Noon College (90.54), Notre Dame College (89.85), Residential Model College (89.73), Mirzapur Cadet College, Tangail (89.32), Dhaka City College (88.54), National Ideal College, Dhaka (88.32) and SOS Hermann Gmeiner College, Mirpur (86.49).
Other top 20 ranked colleges are Ideal School and College (Motijheel), Holy Cross College (Tejgaon), Cambrian College (Gulshan), Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam College (Mymensingh), Dhaka College, Shaheed Bir Uttam Anwar Girls’ College (Dhaka), Bir Shreshtha Noor Mohammad Public College, Dhaka Commerce College, Shamsul Hoque School and College (Demra), and Adamjee Cantonment College, Dhaka.
The results of the HSC and equivalent examinations were published on Wednesday with a record 78.67 percent pass rate, which is 3.59 percent higher than that of the previous year.
This year, a total of 917,673 students appeared in the examinations, and among them 721,979 came out successful. This showed 147,718 more examinees passed this year compared to the previous year’s 574, 261. Of the total participants 498,046 are male, while 490,918 are female.
