Renata approves 60% cash, 25% stock dividends

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Renata Limited approved 60 percent cash and 25 percent stock dividends (bonus share 4:1b) for the year 2011, the company said. 
The dividend was approved at the 39th annual general meeting (AGM) of the company. Its extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held in the city on Saturday also approved to issue short term bond worth up to BDT 1.0 billion for capital expenditure purposes.
Chairman of the board SH Kabir presided over the meeting. The meetings were also attended by the company's CEO and Managing Director Syed S Kaiser Kabir, directors Sarwar Ali, Sajida Humayun Kabir, A Hasanat Khan, Manzoor Hasan, Company Secretary Md Jubayer Alam, senior executives of the company and a large number of shareholders.
In 2011, Renata's combined turnover and net profit grew by 28.08 percent and 28.09 per cent respectively. End of year, earning per share (EPS) stood at BDT 48.14 compared to BDT 37.74 in the year 2010.
