Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The REPO auction of Bangladesh Bank for commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Monday, officials said.
Twelve bids of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 347.1033 billion were received. Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 16.5082 billion were accepted.
One bid of 1-day tenor amounting to BDT 2.1363 billion and 3 bids of 7-day tenor amounting total of BDT 5.1056 billion were received as special REPO.
Of those, 1 bid of 1-day tenor amounting to BDT 1.0 billion and 3 bids of 7-day tenor amounting total of BDT 3.50 billion were accepted.
Moreover, 13 primary dealers of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 48.8145 billion were provided as Liquidity Support Facility. The rate of interest both of REPO and Liquidity Support Facility was 7.25 percent but for the special Repo the range of interest was 9.25-9.30 percent.
