Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The REPO auction of Bangladesh Bank for commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Sunday officials said.
Sixteen bids of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 344.5614 billion were received. Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 22.0190 billion were accepted.
One bid of 1-day tenor amounting to BDT 1.60 billion and 1 bid of 7-day tenor amounting to BDT 2.13 billion were received as special REPO.
Of those, 1 bid of 1-day tenor amounting to BDT 500 million and 1 bid of 7-day tenor amounting to BDT 1.50 billion were accepted.
Moreover, 15 primary dealers of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 63.1697 billion were provided as Liquidity Support Facility. The rate of interest both of REPO and Liquidity Support Facility was 6.75 percent per but the interest rate on the special REPO was 8.80 percent.
