Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The REPO auction of Bangladesh Bank for commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Sunday, officials said.
Fourteen bids of 2-day tenor amounting total of BDT 343.4884 billion were received. Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 21.9816 billion were accepted.
Four bids of 2-day tenor amounting total of BDT 8.44 billion and 4 bids of 7-day tenor amounting total of BDT 9.36 billion were received as special REPO.
Of those, 4 bids of 2-day tenor amounting total of BDT 6.40 billion and 4 bids 7-day tenor amounting total of BDT 8.60 billion were accepted.
Moreover, 13 primary dealers of 2-day tenor amounting total of BDT 57.8792 billion were provided as Liquidity Support Facility. The rate of interest both of REPO and Liquidity Support Facility was 6.75 percent but for the special REPO the range of interest rate was 8.75-8.80 percent.
