Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The REPO auction of Bangladesh Bank for commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Sunday, officials said.
Thirteen bids of 2-day tenor amounting total of BDT 332.8102 billion were received. Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 21.9988 billion were accepted.
Two bids of 2-day tenor amounting total of BDT 4.0290 billion and 2 bids of 7-day tenor amounting total of BDT 4.8221 billion were received as special REPo.
Of those, 2 bids of 2-day tenor amounting total of BDT 3.60 billion and 2 bids of 7-day tenor amounting total of BDT 3.00 billion were accepted.
Moreover, 13 primary dealers of 2-day tenor amounting total of BDT 58.65 billion were provided as Liquidity Support Facility. The rate of interest both of REPO and Liquidity Support Facility was 6.75 percent but for the special REPO the range of interest rate was 8.75-8.80 percent.
