Results of Sunday’s REPO auction

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The REPO auction of Bangladesh Bank for commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Sunday, officials said.

Thirteen bids of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 347.4673 billion were received. Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 15.5144 billion were accepted.

Seven bids of 7-day tenor amounting total of BDT 15.3375 billion were received as special REPO. Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 2.81 billion were accepted.

Moreover, 13 primary dealers of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 50.0598 billion were provided as Liquidity Support Facility. The rate of interest both of REPO and Liquidity Support Facility was 7.25 percent but for the special REPO the rate of interest was 9.30 percent.
