Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The REPO auction of Bangladesh Bank for commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Sunday, officials said.
Twelve bids of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 318.1605 billion were received. Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 3.0162 billion were accepted.
Three bids of 7-day tenor amounting total of BDT 15.30 billion were received as special REPO. Of those, 1 bid of 7-day tenor amounting to BDT 1.0 billion was accepted.
Moreover, 13 primary dealers of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 49.2065 billion were provided as Liquidity Support Facility.
The rate of interest both of REPO and Liquidity Support Facility was 7.25 percent but for the special REPO the rate of interest was 9.30 percent.
