Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The REPO auction of Bangladesh Bank for commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Thursday, officials said.
Twelve 12 bids of 3-day tenor amounting total of BDT 345.4987 billion were received. Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 15.5474 billion were accepted. Four of 7-day tenor amounting total of BDT 13.1505 billion were received as special REPO.Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 3.00 billion were accepted.
Moreover, 13 primary dealers of 3-day tenor amounting total of BDT 51.1876 billion were provided as Liquidity Support Facility. The rate of interest both of REPO and Liquidity Support Facility was 7.25 percent but for the special REPO the rate of interest was 9.30 percent.
