Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The REPO auction of Bangladesh Bank for commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Tuesday, officials said.
Thirteen bids of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 349.8243 billion were received. Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 15.0075 billion were accepted. Three bids of 7-day tenor amounting total of BDT 6.7937 billion were received as special REPO. Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 3.50 billion were accepted.
Moreover, 13 primary dealers of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 52.5611 billion were provided as Liquidity Support Facility. The rate of interest both of REPO and Liquidity Support Facility was 7.25 percent but for the special REPO the rate of interest was 9.30 percent.
