Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The REPO auction of Bangladesh Bank for commercial banks and financial institutions was held on Wednesday, official s aid.
Fifteen bids of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 347.3464 billion were received. Of those, all bids amounting total of BDT 22.0190 billion were accepted. 1 bid of 1-day tenor amounting to BDT 319 million was received as special RePO.
Of those, the bid amounting to BDT 300 million was accepted. Moreover, 15 primary dealers of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT.64.6922 billion were provided as Liquidity Support Facility.
The rate of interest both of REPO and Liquidity Support Facility was 6.75 percent per annum but for the special REPO the interest rate was 8.75 percent.
