Road accident kills 11 in Comilla

Comilla, Bangladesh (BBN) – At least 11 people were killed and 40 others wounded when two buses collided on Dhaka-Chittagong highway near Kather Pool of Chandina upazila in Comilla on Tuesday.

Six people, including a woman, died on the spot and five others soon after being taken to hospital, witnesses said

All the injured were rushed to Comilla Medical College Hospital and Chandina Health Complex where doctors said condition of 10 was critical.

The accident took place when the drivers tried to save two motorcyclists, who were abruptly entering the highway from North Barakamta area, a local police official said.
