Sirajganj, Bangladesh (BBN)- At least five people were killed as a passenger bus fell into a ditch in the country’s northern Sirajganj district on Friday, police said.
The Gaibandha-bound bus carrying home-goers ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr tumbled into the ditch breaking the railing of bridge No four of the Bangabandhu Bridge link road around 5:00 pm (local time), leaving five of the passengers dead on the spot and 20 others injured, a local police official confirmed.
The injured were taken to Sirajganj General Hospital.
