Road accident kills four in Brahmanbaria

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Four people were killed and three others wounded in a head-on collision between a truck and a microbus in the country’s east-central Brahmanbaria district on Wednesday, police said.

The accident occurred at 6:30am (local time) when a Sylhet-bound truck rammed into a Dhaka-bound microbus near Islamabad Gugod of the Sarail upazila (sub-district), a local police official confirmed.

The microbus passengers were going to Dhaka Shahjalal International Airport from Shahbajpur village of the upzila to receive their expatriate relative on his return from abroad.

Police seized the truck and microbus while the drivers of both the vehicles managed to flee the scene.
