Road accident kills four in central Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Four people were killed and eight others wounded when a truck rammed into a locally made vehicle popularly known as Tempo in the country’s central district Tangail Tuesday morning, police said.

All the deceased were the residents of Kalihati, a sub-district of Tangail.

Of them, three died on the spot while another succumbed to his injuries on way to a local hospital, a local police official confirmed.

After hitting the oncoming tempo on the approach road towards Bangabandhu Bride of the district, the truck fell into a roadside ditch in Dholatengur area of the sub-district around 6:45am (local time), he added.
