Road accident kills nine in Bangladesh

Sylehet, Bangladesh (BBN) - At least nine people including two school teachers were killed and 30 others wounded in a fatal road accident in the country’s northeaster Sylehet district on Monday.

Police and witnesses said a Sylhet bound bus collided with a Jaflong bound truck at about 1:45 pm (local time) in front of Sarighat petrol pump on Sylhet-Tamabil highway, leaving four people dead on the spot.

Five other people died at Osmani Medical College Hospital.
