Road accident kills six in northern Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – At least six people were killed and 25 injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in the country’s northern Rangpur district early Wednesday, police said.

The accident occurred around 5:30am (local time) when a Badarganj-bound bus fell into a roadside ditch on Rangpur-Badarganj road while giving side to a microbus coming from opposite direction, a police official of Kotwali Police Station said, adding that all six passengers died on the spot.

The injured were rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
