Road accidents kill 11 in Bangladesh before Eid

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- At least 11 people were killed and more than 20 others wounded in separate road accidents in four districts of Bangladesh on Sunday a day before the Eid-ul-Azha festival.
The districts are Mymensingh, Gaibandha, Rajshahi and Brahmanbaria.
Six persons were killed and at least five injured after a bus rammed into a human hauler on Rahamatpur bypass road in Mymensingh Sadar upazila around 12:00 noon.

One person died on the spot and 10 others injured were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, a local police official confirmed.
In Gaibandha, a woman was killed and at least 12 others injured after a passenger bus collided head-on with a microbus on the Bogra-Rangpur highway in Gobindaganj upazila on Sunday morning.
Hassan Ali, 25, was run over by a laden truck at the Sargachhi crossing under Puthiya upazila of Rajshahi district around 9:30am (local time).
A woman, Rubina Akhter, 25, and her seven-year-old twin sons Sourov and Nirob, from Nabinagar upazila were killed after a microbus plunged into a roadside ditch in Brahmanbaria Sadar.
