Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– At least 13 people were killed in separate road accidents in three districts of Bangladesh on Friday.
Of the deceased, six were killed in Moulvibazar, two in Habiganj and five in Chittagong, according to reports.
Six people were killed and 12 others injured in a three-vehicle pile-up on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Tulvi area of Bahubol upazila (sub-district) in Moulvibazar.
The accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound passenger bus, a Sylhet-bound microbus and a motorbike collided with each other.
The injured were admitted to Habiganj Sadar Hospital and Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital, police official said.
Meanwhile, two people were killed in two separate road accidents in Habiganj district.
Four people, including a woman, were killed and 10 others injured when a bus and a truck collided head-on on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong.
The accident took place at around 6:25am (local time) as the truck, carrying corrugated iron sheets, tried to overtake another vehicle and hit the bus coming from the opposite direction, a local police official said.

Meanwhile, a driver of a pick-up van was killed at Khulshi area of the port city on the same day.
