Road accidents kill 26 in Bangladesh during Eid holidays

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - At least 26 people were killed and more than 40 wounded in separate road accidents across the country during the Eid holidays since Wednesday.

Five people were killed as a speeding bus hit two motorbikes at Silimpur in Bogra town on Thursday night, police said.

In Pabna, five people were killed and 30 injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Baokola in Atgharia upazila on Thursday.

Meanwhile, separate road accidents claimed the lives of 16 more people in Comilla, Magura, Narsingdi and Dinajpur districts of Bangladesh on Wednesday.
