Road crash kills six in Gazipur

Gazipur, Bangladesh (BBN)– At least six people were killed and 10 injured after a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Gazipur Friday morning, police said.

The accident took place in front of Gate No. 4 of National Park at Rajendrapur around 7:45am (local time) when a Gazipur-bound bus hit an oncoming truck, a local police official confirmed.

Three of the victims died on the spot while 12 sustained injuries.

Two of the wounded succumbed to their injuries after they were admitted to Gazipur Sadar Hospital, doctor said.
