Road crash kills seven school children in Bangladesh

Comilla, Bangladesh (BBN)- Seven school children were killed and five people injured as a truck rammed a school van in the country’s comilla district on Saturday, police and witnesses said.
Witnesses said a Noakhali-bound truck hit the van carrying some students of ‘Natherpetua Model Academy’, a kindergarten, at about 2:00 pm, leaving five kids dead on the spot and seven people, including the van driver, injured
Of the injured, two students died on the way to hospital.
The deceased are-Nusrat Jahan Shova, Hridoy Hossain Morshed Muttakin, Al-Amin, Hasibul Hasan Neher, Raqibul Hasan, Fahadul Islam Mithun and Tipu Sultan Sadhin.
Hearing the news of the death, local people rushed to the spot and set the truck ablaze. They also blocked Comilla-Noakhali road for sometime.
On information, local MP Tajul Islam and senior police officials visited the spot.
