Robi, EBL sign deal to facilitate mobile remittance service

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Robi Axiata Limited and Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) signed an agreement in the city on Tuesday to facilitate mobile remittance service across the country.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Robi Michael Kuehner and Managing Director and CEO of EBL Ali Reza Iftekhar inked the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.

From now on, the mobile users will be able to collect remittance from the Robi service centers and distributors showing their identity cards and documents, said Michael Kuehner.

Mr Ali Reza Iftekhar said this initiative will be easy for getting remittance across the country.

Chief Marketing Officer of Robi Bidyut Kumar Basu said the service is open to all mobile customers as they can take the service going to Robi cash points.
